Resealing corn loans offers extended storage payments
Iowa farmers are urged to notify the county ASC office this month to convert purchase agreements into reseal loans. Resealing allows possession of grain for an extra year while earning storage payments up to 16 cents per bushel and may reduce government delivery in the August settlement period. Farmers can redeem between October 1, 1957 and July 31, 1958 or pay off at year end and still receive the full payment. extending loans can yield another 16 cent payment on July 31, 1958. The state hopes Kossuth county farmers will participate to avoid new bin structures and meet the statewide goal.
