Last Rites Held for Gus Richter Here Thursday
Funeral services for Gus Richter were held Thursday afternoon at Swan Funeral Home with Rev. Loesch officiating. Richter, 70, born in Germany, came to the United States at age 12 and later lived in Wisconsin before moving to Iowa. He worked for the Rock Island railroad as a section man and engine caretaker, and is survived by three children Leo of Titonka, Emma Moore, and Mrs. Orville Beresford of Kanawha, plus a sister Emma Leak of Burt and a brother Ranny Richter in California.

John J Zwiefel aged 71 died Thursday at Mary Steeley hospital after two days as a patient.
