Kossuth county farmers will have a second countywide ring test for Brucellosis during the week of July 12. Tests run free of charge through state and federal veterinarians with results mailed to each tested farmer. Cooperating creameries and creameries across numerous towns will supply samples to the Farm Bureau laboratory in Algona for uniform processing.
The Kossuth County Democratic Convention adopted resolutions reaffirming party principles, endorsing Adlai Stevenson for president, supporting the last Democratic foreign policy, and backing continued government control of natural resources. It condemns Republican asset transfers, urges 90 per cent price supports for non perishables, and promotes Democratic candidates including Gillette, Herring, Wilcox, Casey Loss, and the county ticket.
Swen Larsen of Buffalo Center was named chairman of the Kossuth County Farm Bureau membership committee by Lester Eden president. He will head the 1955 membership drive after leading the 1954 campaign to a successful conclusion following George Becker’s resignation due to ill health. Garry Raidal, three, drowned after falling through a hole in a stock tank cover while playing with other children.
The annual financial statement for the School District of Titonka Titonica in Kossuth County Iowa covers the year ending June 30 1954.
