Friends mourn the death of Mrs. George Schutter Jr. at Mercy Hospital Mason City on June 28 1986 aged 64. Born Aug 21 1871 Grundy County Iowa she married George Schutter Feb 8 1893. Survived by husband ten children George Jr Wesley Jerry Clarence William Raymond Anna Wabben Hila Fox Beulah Nelson and 16 grandchildren. Funeral at the Methodist church Titanic with Rev. Fremont Faul. Interment Buffalo Township cemetery.

Funeral services for Eugene N. Loebig were held Tuesday at St. Josephs church. Born September 11, 1880 in Iowa Falls, he lived in Wesley since the 1890s and had seven children with his first wife, plus three stepchildren, several siblings and five sisters. Burial followed at St. Josephs cemetery.

Highway Commission Lets Gravel Contracts in Several Routes

Obituary of Mrs Fred Onnen nee Aung Hiting
Mrs Fred Onnen born December 26 1901 in Dastfriesland Germany came to America with her parents in 1903. She grew up near Alden Iowa and lived on a family farm. She joined Ramsey Reformed Church in 1918, taught Sunday School, and married Fred Onnen February 6 192? They lived four months before her sudden death the following Sunday. She left husband parents J A Harms Henry John Jesse Carl Herman Ralph Robert Jennie and many relatives. A memorial note praised her cheerful helping nature. The poem from Tennyson’s In Memoriam accompanied the obituary.

Practically all business houses close here on the fourth from 11 a m all day. Merchants and all other business houses open Friday night. The post office closes July 4th.
German Township Bonds Sold At Auction
German Township school board with County Attorney Maurice McMahon auctioned a $25,000 bond issue at Center School House and Savings Bank. Beith Duncan Worly Wood of Davenport won at 2 percent interest with a $100 discount. Four firms bid, Savings Bank among them, and after two dropped out the sale lasted over an hour. Officials plan to let contracts for new schoolhouses soon.
