Ford Starters Lead Global Market In 1919 Output
Ford Motor Company expands electric starter and generator production with reports of near 3,000 units daily capacity. Henry Ford began testing the system years earlier, aided by eight years of research and 23 trial jobs. The system uses Bendix drive and oiless bearings for reliable starting in Ford cars and tanks. Factory upgrades cut unit production time from fifty to four hours, with goal to equip all Ford cars within weeks. Also advises farmers to inventory farm assets between January 1 and March 1 for tax and profit planning.
