Autumn Poems and North Midwest Fields Collide in Countryside News

The piece blends personal reflections on wild garden remnants of asparagus and autumn color with essays on soybeans and cockleburr richness, noting pheasants in the Midwest and the soybean's rise. It also weaves in a wandering vignette of rural life, echoes at the barn, and humorous lines about marriage age contrasts and rural housing hunts.
