Proper Air Conditions Essential to House Plants
Light, temperature and humidity affect bloom quality in house plants. High humidity promotes luxuriant growth and better blooms. Horticulturist L A Grove recommends placing flowering plants on wet sand with trays holding water to keep sand moist, raising humidity. Dried peas and beans rate high as filling and nourishing foods, closely matching meat and dairy as body builders.

Stored clothing remodeled will give good service
Wartime clothes reserves tucked away in closets can be brought out as home makers adapt slightly worn or out of style garments. Sorting, cleaning, and basic alterations like yokes, bindings, or new patterns can revitalize dresses. More worn pieces may become child dresses or jumpers, with careful pattern choices and simple additions to conceal worn areas.
