A motion by Art Boyken and Eilert Boyken to create a new plat of Titonka locating water mains telephone cables sewers and more was carried with all ayes. A second motion by Krominga and Art Boyken to hire Al Boelkes as temporary night watchman starting December 1 at 180 dollars per month was carried. The meeting then adjourned.

Portland clubs report Christmas parties and activities
The Portland Progress Club hosted its annual Christmas party and luck supper at the Portland Community Hall on December 13 with about sixteen members and families present. The Portland Social Club also held its party at the Franz Teeter home with fifteen members and two visitors, featuring a cookie swap gift exchange carol singing and new secret sisters for next year. Mr. Victor Fitch Korene and Judy attended and Mrs Goodwyn Bergerud recovered from virus pneumonia after a short hospital stay.
