The auxiliary thanks community members for supplying 2,224 Butter-Nut coffee coupons for orphans and reports a festive Christmas party for Juniors hosted by Melinda Boyken Jolene Harms Trudy Haines Dawney Harms and Pat Haines. The Hymn of the Month Angels We Have Heard On High is noted and all-local supporters are thanked for their year of service.
Alumni and parents of students are invited to a Christmas dance sponsored by Titania Consolidated Schools Vocal and Instrumental Departments. The dance starts Thursday December 23 at 8 30 p m. Mrs Gertie Isebrand and Lucille Reibsamen were Wednesday afternoon coffee guests in the home of Mr and Mrs Albert Loeschen.
Sunday visitors in the home of Mr and Mrs Date Helmers included Mr and Mrs Harry Shearer and Miss LeAnn Helmers. The Friday Club met at Karen Boyken’s. Milly Cosgrove and Peggy Hill were honored. A Christmas gift exchange occurred. Mr and Mrs Lester Callies planned to spend Christmas with their daughter in Richfield Minnesota. Mr and Mrs Terry Meyer welcomed a son born December 20 weighing 9 pounds 3 ounces. Mrs Bradford Buffington and David Buffington hosted Sunday dinner for birthdays. Several couples visited the Kromingas and Schutters. Kathleen Eden, ISU student, returned home for holidays. Jeannie and Linda Gingrich were guests at Phil’s.
Jaren Eden and Sharon Eden spend holidays with their parents in Rochester. Mrs Ollie Bruns visits her son’s family in Omaha. Sunday dinner guests at J. Tter mill include Henry Van Hove, Ronald Folkerts with family, Geo Sachau with family, and Bob Van Hove. Butch Gerdis from Ft. Leonard Wood arrives to spend Christmas with his parents Elmer and (unnamed) Gerdis.
