Christmas of 2009 Vision: Airships and Pneumatic Cities
The piece imagines a distant Christmas in 2009 with air travel replacing cars and trains. People ride pneumatic tubes and airships for transport, buildings soar into the sky, and robots handle chores from meals to dishwashing. Telepresence through telautoscope and moving pictures reshape leisure and shopping.
