Clara Willon Butler born near Mt Ayre Iowa June 18 1870 oldest of ten children. Married 1888 to W A Scott, five children four daughters living, one son died in infancy. Her husband died after a wagon accident in 1901. Later married Witt Bentley and lived in Webster City Clarion Kamlar and Bancroft before settling near Woden where she died November 20 at 63. Burial in Buffalo township cemetery. Pallbearers listed. Also noting Boward F Callies transferred to Hot Springs and Henry Graefen party visiting, plus local drainage assessments and pension awards.

Pannkuk Trades Store for Farm
Anton Pannkuk traded his general merchandise business in Titonka on Tuesday for a farm near Blooming Prairie Minnesota. J W DeBuhr of Albert Lea arranged the deal. The Panukuks will stay in town a few days to acquaint the new proprietor and customers before moving March 1. The farm comprises 240 acres on a wooded stream, twelve miles from Austria, and is praised as one of southern Minnesota’s best farming areas. The family will return for visits, but will long be remembered for their hospitality. The infant son of Mr and Mrs Andrew Wallace died after a brief stay in the local hospital. Short funeral services were held, with interment in the local cemetery. Sympathies are extended to the bereaved family.

Ladies Aid Event at Reformed church Wednesday
The Ladies Aid of the Reformed church will meet Wednesday evening in the church basement with Mesdames Tom Loats and He Meyer as hostesses. Rev A Smith, a Goldfield resident for over 40 years, died at his home after a brief illness and was buried yesterday afternoon. He first came to the area in 1873, bought land in Evergreat four years earlier, lived there until 1917, then moved to Goldfield where he resided. Five children survive. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church with Reva W. S Handy in charge. burial followed at Glenwood cemetery. He was an uncle of Nelson Brog.

In the last three months 48 scholars and teachers had perfect attendance while 44 were absent once. Ramsay and Buffalo Center Reformed churches plan to aid drought stricken South Dakota areas by gathering potatoes earlier and corn next. Donations of ear corn are invited via consistory members with pickup routes arranged between Fay Tapno's farm and Ten Meyers Yarm. Sunday services will be conducted in German.
