Taming of the Shrew heads Mason City stage
A revival of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew will be staged in the Cecil Theatre December 10 and 11. The Young People's Fellowship sponsors the production with direction by Ana I. Trissel and John R. Winnie as technical director. The cast features Dorothy Decker as Kate and Ruth Auvelay as Bianca, among others, with authentic costumes from the Minneapolis Costume Co.

A H Bunkofske of Portland township departed Burt Saturday evening for Chicago where he will catch a train to Detroit to spend a few days with his brother Edward and family before returning to Chicago to attend the International Live Stock Show for the rest of the week. He expected to be home by Saturday night or Sunday. Dave Lynch of Bancroft previously a land man and auto salesman at Palmont was convicted last week of a third degree arson charge for burning an automobile owned by R A McLean of Madelia near Comfrey in October 1932 to collect insurance and must serve three years in the Stillwater state prison.
