Bank Robbery Report From Lakota Area
A pair of young bandits robbed a Lakota area bank at 2 30 pm taking about 800 dollars in minutes before fleeing in a stolen Ford V 8 license 6 344 heading west toward Sweet City. Bank employees and local residents described the culprits as well dressed men in their thirties. Police note a similar earlier visit by the pair. New School House Dedication in Germany Township
The old Dreesman school, in uninterrupted service for fifty five years, was vacated as the fine new building was dedicated. J Gordes welcomed attendees, contractors Bruns and Korten handed the key to Cordes, who unlocked the door and opened the ceremony. Rev Calvin Schnucker delivered prayers and remarks, with pupil Mrs Qosterrericher reading old names. Songs, readings by Mrs J Bleich, and organ music accompanied the gala. Refreshments followed as attendees toured the new facility and Germany township celebrated a major building program and hoped for further progress.
