Oscar Purkey writes as a forgotten Americanism critic lampooning Trygve Lie, secretary general, for dull UN outreach. He mocks the UN’s lack of imagination and showmanship, urges real estate gimmicks and celebrity names to spark interest, and spoofs political theater with jokes about veto power and a flagpole wedding.
