Indian Day 1936 Sees Weather, Chaos, and Quiet

Indian Day 1936 drew crowds despite heat and dust as a sudden rainstorm cut events short and blacked out lights. A baseball game between A Wizzle’s Algona Grays and the Texas Spiders drew mixed reactions while dancing suffered from mud and rain, and politicians stayed away. Two drunks were jailed after incidents, but overall the day was among the quietest in years.
