Woden residents Mr and Mrs John Huisinga and relatives visited Kamrar last Thursday for the 94th birthday of Mrs Alberta Huisinga. Mrs Herman Helm returned from summer at Excelsior Springs MA where arthritis treatment improved. Mrs Clara Beye from Marshalltown stayed with son John Beye. WSCS hosted a guest day at the Methodist church with regional church guests, a program, and refreshments.

Street Show Delights Crowd Before Rodeo Opening
Last Saturday night a street show drew a large crowd near the post office corner before the big rodeo. Harry Meh ran hosted a western music program featuring community youths including the Schutter sisters Thresa Katryn and Wilda Harris Sonnnenberg Dean Potter Larry Leek and Glenn Platt with guitar accordion and singing.

Old settlers from Titorkka gather for Indian Day renewing friendships rather than rides or shows. The Methodist WSCS held their monthly meeting with devotions by Miss Florence Reynolds, reports by Mrs. Erwin Eden, and plans for the new church cornerstone. New members Harold Miller and Arnold Rickless joined, 14 folding dining tables were purchased, and Circle IH arranged August flowers. Mrs Johnson of Elmore, Minn., mother of Mrs Heiko Boekelman, attended as a guest.
