Civilians use eggs maintain high production
Civilians use eggs usually peak around Haster and then fall. This year record supplies at moderate cost imply continued use into May. If producers do not sell off flocks due to low prices, civilians will get 846 billion dozen eggs in 1944. Homemakers have the key job of using eggs as they reach markets to avoid waste and encourage stable laying flocks. Manpower shortages hamper egg breaking and drying plants, limiting processing flow.
