Classes of 1942 1943 give school savings bonds
The classes of 1942 and 1943 left the school two $25.00 savings bonds dated May 1942. The bonds have matured and could be cashed. It is believed the funds were to aid equipment purchases for the school, such as stage lighting recently installed, with future help from the 1955 and 1956 classes totaling about $1100. If not for the original purpose, notice is requested from those class members.

Cattle Market Outlook Improves Says ISU Economist
Iowa State College farm economist Steve Hiemstra says the cattle market trend is improving. He notes earlier 1956 price declines began in January and continued through April and May, with choice cattle down since January but rebounding since mid February. He cites heavyweights easing, a wider prime price spread, and expects excess heavyweights to be worked down by midyear amid hog slaughter cuts, predicting a stronger market next fall and winter.
