Vormer B and C partners report Rev. L H Yost former Buffalo Center resident visited Buffalo Center last week with H A Wagner and a wife. Yost lived in German township years ago and was an auctioneer and farmer. He attended St Paul Bible School, graduated, and now has a church charge in that city.
Rev Calvin Schnucker and his family are in Aplington this week for a Reformed Church Classis session running Tuesday to Friday. He drove down late last week but left to preach George Beenken’s funeral Sunday, then returned Monday to join his wife and family at the classis.

Message from Titonka reports the death of Mrs Esdert Smidt at her Hayfield home after pneumonia two days earlier. She had just borne a baby a week before, which survived. The Smidt family of four children previously lived on the Wm Senne farm east of town then in South Dakota before moving to Hayfield. Funeral plans were not yet set.
Gehard Beenken, early North Kossuth settler, died March 28 at his brother Ben Beenken’s home in German township. Born January 5, 1858 in Hastfriesland Germany, he was 77 years old. He migrated to the US at 24, lived near Forreston Illinois, moved to Kossuth County in 1884, and helped found Ramsey Reformed Church. He never married and was quite deaf in later years. Burial was at Ramsey Reformed Church with relatives from Buckham, Lakota, East Friesland, Chicago and Belmond attending.

The Kossuth County Council of Parents and Teachers will meet in Titonka on Tuesday April 9 at 2 30 pm in the school building. Raymond Rickless and Clark Miller hosted a bridge club skating party at the Coliseum Saturday evening.
G A Bornstetter received a telegram from Claud R Wickard Chief of the Corn Hog Section Washington notifying him of appointment to a responsible position and directing report Tuesday He will leave for Washington after leaving his little daughter with his father at Corwith where a housekeeper will care for her Mrs Bonnstetter died at birth This marks a fine promotion for a Kossuth county boy with farming experience and a high school education.
Myrtle Anna left school years ago to earn a teacher's certificate at State Teachers College and now teaches a second year east and south of Titonia. Florence Bacon remained at home until marriage to Clea Helfer, living with Florences’ parents as Clair farms eighty acres. Beryl Bogges attended Cornell College for two years and works at the telephone office. Arthur Budlong studied at Coe College, married Phy delig Peterson, and lives on a farm southwest of Titonka. Robert Clemans moved to Lakota, then Titonka as a linotyper at the Topic office, married Lorraine Smith, and lives in Titonka. Ruth Gartner moved with her parents and married Vance Reibsamen. they live in Washington, D. Carrie Eden teaches east of Titonka after Dubuque University study. Kermit Larson studied at Hisworth College, then at a hotel, then Shell Oil, now Mason City, married Rosaline Pardon with daughter Sharon Jean. Grace Sietsema moved to Mason City, attended Hamilton Business College, but suffered a nervous breakdown prior to graduation and remains at home. Florence Reynolds stays at home and takes private voice lessons near the farm. Correction notes: Beulah Schutter married Sophus Nelson. Leroy Burger is not married.
