County Correspondence Seeding Delayed and Local Talks On Offices
A rambling county dispatch notes seeding hasn’t started yet and records visitors Sam Reynolds and Julia Schram at a shack on Sunday. It questions salary increases for county officers, cites locals loading machinery, and mentions Frank Kethwick tiling a 120 acre Buffalo township farm this spring. The writer muses on politics, pay, and career choices amid a dreamlike village scene near the depot with a mansion showing through dim light.

Dream of a Country Newspaper Convention Gone Wrong
A man recalls a bizarre dream where he enters a convention of country newspaper correspondents. On a raised platform a figure identified as John speaks, others react with confusion, and panels of editors and a dramatic scene culminate as the dreamer wakes to his wife prodding him to build the fire. The dream blends political figures and editors with surreal action.
