College student killed near Huxley in traffic accident
Alfred Crone of Woden and son of John Crone, living near Crystal Lake, died when his truck struck George Funck of Osceola pushing a motorcycle. Crone, a freshman engineer at Iowa State College, was traveling north on highway 65 and 69 and could not avoid striking Funck one half mile south of Huxley. The coroner's jury ruled death an unavoidable accident.
