Tipton notices mix goods and town meetings in July items

The Muscatine Harness Theft and Local Arrests

A spate of harness thefts near Muscatine led to raids into Cedar County. Thos C Groom and Stewart Ocheltree were arrested after a robbed man, R M Baker, traced the crime. Bonds set at $2,500 and $2,000. Hidden stolen items found but not from the local area. Also reports Idlewild Driving Park races with wreck and a university catalog noting growth. An estray notice offers reward for two cows near Mechanicsville.
