Republican State Convention Advised for Iowa Delegates
The Twelfth Annual Republican State Convention of Iowa will meet in Des Moines on Thursday the 7th of 1868 at 10 oclock A M to nominate four delegates at large and twelve district delegates to the National Republican Convention in Chicago on May 20 1868. Also two electors at large and six district electors for President and Vice President, plus candidates for State officers. Representation one per county plus one delegate for every two hundred votes over one hundred cast for Samuel Merrill in the last election. By order of C C Nourse, Chairman.
