Storm Damages Hit Oak Forest Suburbs After Tuesday
A late Tuesday storm caused flooding and fire damage in the southwest suburbs. Lightning sparked a fire at a storage building near Morton-Gingerwood school in Oak Forest and ripped roofing from a home on Orchid Drive in Catalina near Orland Park. Road signs toppled and power outages halted traffic with flooded highways and a downed viaduct on 159th Street west of Cicero Avenue. Police reported no casualties.

Bremen 228 District Abates Tax Levy to Save Local Taxpayers
