Illinois DOT bids for 120 statewide projects totaling 110 million dollars, including five southwest suburban repairs. Huge New Apartments Development Proposed

Tinley Park eyes a $9 million 500 unit project east of Oak Park avenue between 181st and 183rd streets. Shelter Development seeks a zoning variance to build two five story elderly units and 300 garden townhouses with pools and a senior center. A July 28 meeting with the zoning committee is set as planners weigh sewer and school district impacts.
