Tinley Park could have a village manager by early 1974 under preliminary plans outlined by Trustee Richard Durkin. A special committee was created to recruit and screen three final candidates for board interview, with a national search and emphasis on a public or municipal administration degree.
Tinley Park voters may register at the village hall per Clerk Frank German. Office hours are 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday, 9 am to 1 pm Wednesday and Saturday, with Friday evenings 7 to 9 pm.

Edward F. Roberts, formerly Bremen high school's associate principal, was chosen as Hillcrest high school's new principal at a School District 228 board meeting. The 37 year old educator will earn 23000 annually and expects a 1975 advanced certification in secondary school administration.
