Auto thefts rise in Tinley Park as holiday shopping peaks

Tinley Park Park District Seeks Commissioner Candidates

Nomination petitions for Tinley Park park district commissioner seats are now at 16801 South 80th Avenue. Annette Rickerson, district secretary, may issue petitions during normal hours. Two seats are open in April, a four year term held by Patrick O'Brien and a two year vacancy filled by Michael Kauffmann. Filing day begins January 10.

Tinley Man Killed in Sunday Car Crash

A 1968 Camaro left 147th Street in Oak Forest shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday, striking a tree and utility pole. David Jungles 21 of Tinley Park died at the scene. William Laschover 22 of Tinley Park was hospitalized with chest and pelvic injuries. Both were taken to Ingalls Memorial Hospital.
