District 140 moves to court if Allied- Presley fails land deed

Area Schools Set to Open For Fall Term Across Districts
Area districts announce staggered openings this week with varying start times. District 146 serves Tinley Park Orland Park and Oak Forest and begins a shortened session tomorrow for all but kindergarten. District 140 schedules Thursday openings for Kirby Feraway Park and Tinley Heights. District 135 starts Tuesday with a one hour session and full day Wednesday across five schools. Oak Forest district schools begin Thursday with full days, plus junior high orientation and schedule pickups. Parochial and private schools also begin, including St Michael's with new hours and uniforms. Oak Forest Christian Academy plans a September 10 start for ages two through grade four. St George grade school opens September 4 with shortened first days and full days thereafter. High schools set fall term dates with Tinley Park, Oak Forest, Carl Sandburg and Rich Central all planning early week starts and staggered first days.
