Wicklow Thasing is the most important work on hand just now. Louis Bort was taken to the hospital in Tomahawk last Thursday for treatment. Late Margaret Brown died in the hospital Tuesday evening and was buried in the Prairie Rapids cemetery Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Tra Sith and alaughter Sybil will return from their trip to Dakota Tuesday. Mrs. Red, Mrs. Reifer and Mrs. Gorhig aside a business trip to Tomahawk Tuesday. Jonven of Cassian was badly hurt recently by being thrown from the rig with several ribs broken. The Aid Society will meet this week Thursday with Mrs. Kiefer. The Payal Neighbors will hold their next regular meeting Saturday with Neighbor Musson. A school officers elected at the annual meeting was Mrs. Dan Lee Director, George Gerbig, Clerk, Mrs. Sarah Raab, Treasurer, Mrs. Ole Stensrod and children visited with her parents and sister last week returning to Rhinelander Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Adelare and family of Rhinelander visited Sunday with Knute Halverson's family, returning home Monday.
Dr Jacob Brown of Sarunas Lake Sanatorium urges ending the Chautauqua salute practice of waving handkerchiefs as a tuberculosis risk. He warns that sputum on reused handkerchiefs can become dust and spread illness, stressing coughing into a covered mouth and avoiding self reinfection. He advocates sanatorium treatment, rest, and medical supervision over self prescribed exercise, noting relapse risks after returning home and emphasizing proper diet and fresh air.

Several families from Pelican Oaks, Post Lake, Crandon, Bundy and Rhine Janitor are seen visiting relatives and attending errands. Road work continues, with some pauses to allow baying by crews.

Jake Lagan spent Sunday at Eagle River. Mr and Mrs John Meyers returned from Two Rivers visit Tuesday. Mrs Waven was an Antigo caller Friday. Monice played ball with Hiles, score 9 to 10 in favor of Hiles. Miss Toobie, returned from Antigo Monday. Ethel Huckes left for Antigo Saturday for the summer. Mrs Gilman and son of Antigo visiting Shepard home. Stella Leith of Tolar visiting here. Mrs Sermerler of Milwaukee visiting Kurtz home. Mrs Stark and children returned from Manitowoc Thursday. Mrs Orth made a Rhinelander Tuesday trip. Henry Nelson of Eau Claire spent week at R Pederson home. Laura Lagan of Rhinelander spent Sunday at her home here. Bob Callum of Three Lakes here for the week. Mrs Henry Schmetler was at Bill Wenzel. Mrs LeClaire, daughter of Rhinelander, spent Sunday at Lagon home. Mr Anderson of Rhinelander spent Sunday at Jillson home. Mrs B L Grand and Cecil Kroat overcome by heat Tuesday. Jake Lagon spent Sunday at Engle River.
Miss Maude Barrick visits Mrs J B Loomis for several days. Mr and Mrs Simons spend Sunday at the Terlitz home. Quiet Fourth of July in the neighborhood. M Stoddard attended Rhineland on Monday. Mr and Mrs Duranso and family and Mr and Mrs Heabneer picnicked at Bearskin Lake on the Fourth. Herman Erlitz visited sister Dorothy Erlitz in Rhineland on Saturday. Weather has been fair, with hope it stays through haying. H J Barrick and J J Loomis spent Fourth of July at the lake.
Mr and Mrs Doebert returned to their Bundy home Saturday after visiting relatives.
Heafford and Tomahawk scenes show Messrs. Watski Garber and Tresness active in various tasks. Martha Reich of Tomahawk joined the Misses Lulu Garber at a Saturday and Sunday gathering, with Harold Selmer visiting his aunt. A well attended dance occurred Saturday evening. Mayor returned to duty Sunday. Taylor and Garber in Tomahawk Friday for auto repairs. Garber and Reynolds attended the Bee at O Olson’s on Sunday.

Mrs T O Bartlett of Rhinelander was guest Thursday. Ladies Aid surprised Mrs H D Johnston for her birthday. Mrs J Gill visited Saturday. Mrs T Fitzgerald is sick this week. Miss Lydia and Edna Hollsted returned to Godman Monday. Dr J T Elliott made a professional call Monday. Mrs G O Hollsted was a Starks visitor Monday. Ti Luedke and Chas Blumrich families planned Crescent Flats. At annual school meeting Mrs H D Johnston reelected clerk. William Clark returned home Thursday after Fourth with relatives in Rhinelander. Mrs F Wales left Monday for Hiles to visit relatives. Ralph Vines returned Saturday after Fourth with relatives in Dorchester. Miss Anna McIntosh of Rhinelander weekend guest of Andrey Keltner. Miss Eleanor Truetel visiting relatives in Dorchester. Mr LaN returned home Saturday after Mosinee visit. Joseph Keltner and family returned home after weekend in Rhinelander.
