E L Luther announces that Regents appointed C P West and L L Oldham as agricultural representatives for Sawyer and Walworth counties. Oldham succeeds J H Murphy, now stock-farm manager in Walworth. West, experienced in marketing crops, has visited Denmark and Norway. Walworth dairy region noted. Louis Belongy, Milwaukee House proprietor in Eagle River, dies at 52. remains to Menominee. wife and three children survive.
Shelbyville clerk Roy F. Biep reports extreme weakness and poor blood, saying energy vanished and he barely kept at work. He notes remedies offered with no benefit, while describing nervous condition and fatigue affecting men and women.
The Stolle Lbe. Co plans to rebuild veneer and saw mills destroyed by the Christmas morning fire. Debris clearing is underway as preparations begin. School reopened last Thursday after a two week break. Residents and visitors, including Wayne Boorom from Grand Rapids, mix with farm life and local events as neighbors share updates on health, work, and travel.
