Interstate Power Proposes Electric Rate Reductions
Interstate Power Company filed proposals with the Illinois Commerce Commission to take effect in about thirty days. President M. L. Kapp said reductions will apply to residential, commercial, farm, and industrial customers. The cut, over $70,000 annually, arises from lower federal income taxes in 1964 and 1965 and improved operating efficiency, with per customer amounts varying by service type and usage.
