Miss Edna Doden and Fred Yates Marry in Rock Island
Miss Edna Doden eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Fred Doden and Fred Yates son of Mr and Mrs Amos Yates were united in marriage at Rock Island on Wednesday October 20. The couple traveled in Fred's car with Dorothy Yates and the bride's sister as companions. After the ceremony they returned home to a wedding supper at the Amos Yates home with immediate family present. They plan to make Thomson their home.

Mrs Cochran to Spend Winter in Clinton With Nason Family
Mrs Thos Cochran will spend the winter with the Charles Nason family in Clinton. She went there Wednesday and her house will be closed until spring. Miss Irene Racker, who had been staying with her, is now at Strubb's Cafe. Mrs J H Moran of Lyons, Mrs Mike Tucker of Fulton and Mrs Bayard Lewis were entertained Wednesday by Mrs Roy Houghton. Card games were the main entertainment. several scores were played and the afternoon was pleasant. Mrs Roy Houghton and others drove to Lanark to attend the Eastern Star meeting.
