Charles Beck 79 Dies After Paralytic Stroke
Charles M Beck 79 died at his Thomson home Saturday October 14 after a two week illness from a paralytic stroke. He moved to Thomson in 1964 and served as Thomson marshal, was active in railroad work, and was a longtime community figure. Funeral services were held Tuesday at his home and at the Methodist church with Rev John Bruce officiating. interment followed in Lowery York Cemetery. He leaves widow Blanche Beck and son Charles Jr with several stepchildren and ten grandchildren.
