Seven reasons to make a will and codicil now
Babson's weekly note urges people to prepare wills and codicils due to sudden death risk. It lists seven reasons including appointing a personal executor, avoiding court-ordered bequests, granting discretionary powers, timing with estate settlements, leaving money in trust, supporting dependents, and enabling charitable gifts. The piece stresses consulting a local lawyer, proper witnessing, and safekeeping of originals. END with reminder to act even with little money.
