Obituary of Mrs J L Hall Manning
A gloom fell on Manning as Mrs. Hall aged 78 died at her Third Street home Monday morning. Born Emerne Williams May 29 1846 in Sherburn Vermont she moved West with her family and later settled near Manning in 1875. A civic and social figure she aided those in need with kindness and lived quietly with her husband a Civil War veteran until his death in 1918 leaving ten sons and three daughters.
