Road Meeting For Route 80 Well Attended
A Fulton gathering last Thursday drew over fifty men hopeful for Route 80 a paved Mississippi River road from the Wisconsin line along Illinois side to opposite Muscatine. They praised Governor Small for road building and pledged support for bonding and contracting plans to advance paving under the new bonds and first bond issues. Myron Rosenkrans of Albany was elected chairman with Fort Byron hosts hosting the first meeting.

John Grandy was elected vice-president at the Fulton meeting to represent the upper road. A seven‑member committee was appointed to travel to Springfield to seek early action from the Governor. Members include N. D. French for Thomson, Pete Thomson for Fulton, Myron Rosemkrans for Albany, with Grandy as Sa vanna’s representative. Attendees from Thomson included H. L. Rawlins R. D.
