Voters are told how candidates for Congress and Senate would respond to a national prohibition reform resolution and a state repeal law. The Woman's Organization for National Prohibition Reform asked five candidates about a 18th amendment appeal and state powers over alcohol. Several replies favored allowing states to manage manufacture sale and transport of intoxicants. Other questions covered repeal of the state enforcement act and a national vote on prohibition.

Mrs Juliana V Volz Dies After Long Illness at Chadwick
Mrs Juliana Mohrmann Volz aged 87, wife of John Volz, died at noon at her Chadwick home after a prolonged illness. Born in Freeport in 1837 she came to Fairhaven township as a child, married in 1877, and later moved to Chadwick. Survived by husband, five sons, four daughters, sisters and a brother, with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements incomplete.

He married Denise Ruggendorf December 25, 1885, with one son and three daughters surviving. He was a World War veteran and lived on a farm near his mother. Funeral at the Christian church with Rev. Langston. Burial in Dunshee cemetery. Many attended. final hour approach. The Pittmans brought the Langetans anne and visited.
