The Thomson Music Boosters met in the school cafeteria for May. They report a Hillbilly Hillabaloo profit of about 710 and a treasury balance of 1136.30. Memorial Day and August 4 parades are set for the varsity band with summer rehearsals starting June 16. Fees for school instrument use were discussed but tabled pending board action. New instruments planned include an oboe, a baritone horn, and band ties. New officers were elected: President Irene Senneff, VP Thomas Kustes, Treasurer Lloyd Bruckner, Secretary Harriet Holesinger.

The Thomson Legion Auxiliary met May 16 in the Legion Hall with seven members. They reported a $15.45 credit for 100 day favors sent to Downey hospital in April. Plans included color bearers for the Memorial Day parade and a program to entertain the County Council on May 25, 1966, plus a 6:30 potluck for all Carroll County units. A June Juniors picnic was planned to thank them for Poppy Day help. The nominating committee reported officers will serve again next year. Mrs. Eugene Murray was chosen for a 1966 regional institute team from Fulton Junior High School with principal Mrs. Ben Ray.
