He said Ronald Russell eight son of Mrs Myrtle Russell fired at a tin can from inside the Russell home. The boy was playing behind the Russell home when struck. He recovered and was released Friday evening.

Daniel McCollough died Saturday at 11 50 am at his home. He was born March 15 1873 in Bluefield Vic the son of Pruitt and Emma McCollough. He married Sadie Kein March 9 1917 in Crown Point Ind. They moved to Milledgeville. He was a machinist who also farmed. Surviving are his wife a step daughter Mrs Carl Petersen of East Peoria and four grandchildren. Funeral Monday at Shok funeral home with DC White officiating.

Charles Gault a 60 year old native of Lanark died May 7 at his Maywood home after a stroke of paralysis and pneumonia. Funeral services were held in Maywood on Saturday with burial in Mount Emblem cemetery. He once worked at the Lanark post office and later as a railway clerk in Maywood before retirement. Survived by his widow Mary Hungerford of Mt Carroll, two daughters Mrs. Doris Moore and Mrs. Richard Martin of Maywood, and three grandchildren.

Julius H. Rath of Washington township died about 4 a.m. Friday May 9 in Savanna city hospital after a heart attack. He was born July 4, 1886, in Washington township and lived there all his life. He married Mary Schnitzer in 1917 and they had six children. Surviving are wife Mary. sons Paul, Joseph, Frederick. daughters Lois and Eunice. one grandson. two brothers. three sisters. A son Henry was killed in World War II. three brothers preceded him in death. Burial followed at Mosquito Hill cemetery.
