Money and work over money in Babson column
Babson argues money is only valuable for what it buys and cannot fix the cost or standard of living. He cites Washington price controls, wage-leader rhetoric, and stock inflation as failing to improve real welfare. The remedy is less worship of money and more personal effort like growing food, sewing, and building, plus biblical guidance on work. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kness and others visited Mt. Carroll Sunday.
