Private Ralph Curtin 31 died when his car skidded on a snow slick curve near the Walter Patton home in East Savanna on Route 42. The crash left the vehicle wrecked and the scene attended by authorities as a jury later ruled Curtin died from injuries after the loss of control and collision with a large tree. An enjoyable program of talks and music followed a Thursday banquet where about 100 fathers and sons from the Savannah chapter and nearby schools attended.
