Fire destroys Garden Plaza home of Louis Renkes
Garden Plaza reports the home of Louis Renkes was levelled by a Friday night fire. About two hundred responders saved most first floor contents. Built by James A. Sweet in the 1860s, the house will be rebuilt. The family stays at the manse. Nearby residents include an ill child with appendicitis and Mrs. Will George with a broken rib. Easter communion will be held at the local church.
