A call to all Thomson Christians to awaken to moral danger and join in church efforts. Leaders urge lay participation, likening ministers' work to coal-shoveling to warm hearts and reinforce duty of parents and congregants to attend and act as true stewards of God.
The Thomson village board in regular session in January and February 1922, chaired by C Carpenter, approved minutes and numerous bills. It authorized pool and billiard hall licenses for Sam Geisinger and B R Lewis, bonded 41.67 to May 1922, and empowered the purchasing committee to buy fire extinguishers and ladders.
The Service Garage has changed ownership in a deal trading it for Wisconsin land. Mr. and Mrs. W. Dresbach of near Mt Carroll visit the home of Mrs. Dresbach’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Groharing. Grand jurors for York include Chas Nipe Fred Seim. Petit jurors are Rush Carroll Henry Kane Dan Michell and George Potter. Mrs. Frank Rush was taken to Jane Lars hospital in Clinton for treatment and remains very ill.
