County Court Busy Day in Larceny and DUI Matters

State's Attorney Franklin A Stransky filed three informations in county court Monday. Port Horning of Chadwick area admitted guilty to keeping a gaming device and paid a $100 fine plus costs. James Mummert of Argo-Fa sought a continued hearing to next Monday with $500 bond, released on his own recognizance. Vietor Shaw of Savanna held on petty larceny charges with $500 bond. Adam Beck of Woodland township had his sentence postponed to next Monday after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated. The will of Mary E Hart of Mt Carroll was admitted to probate, executrix named as Mrs Edna Swingley.

Five Carroll county farms hosted by the farm bureau drew thirty farmers for a late autumn feeders tour. White Governor Horner dedicated the new WQPS 1069 watt state police radio station in Springfield. Police Chief Walter Williams announced the Yosix system will be ready soon and additional stations near Sterling, Pontiac, and Macomb are planned to start within days.
