Babson's Forecast on Germany and Japan
Babson in June 1945 column cites his December 1944 forecast that Germany would collapse before spring 1945 and Japan would fall within a year after Germany. He argues Japanese resilience, outlines why Germany’s plan failed, and predicts a swift end to the global war with light casualties and a rebounding economy. He also notes Stalin could become a key ally then potentially weaken after his death.
