Alvie Keltner Feeds Camp Wanderers Dinner Tale
Alvie Keltner recounts life in a distant camp where tramps cook, wash, and serve meals. Ned Turner describes duties as chief mechanic and the crew’s appetite as Frank Leavens and Hick Potter prepare a supper with beans bread butter and large tubs for washing. The narrator notes the heavy workload and abundant food as morale rises yet worries about the cost of feeding the camp.
