Illinois Northern Utilities to Build New Thomson Office
The Illinois Northern Utilities Company of Savanna announced plans to build a two story office and exchange building in Thomson for telephone and electric light customers. The brick and concrete structure will have an eight foot basement, a main floor for the exchange and offices, a four foot ground and four foot above ground cellar for two cars and equipment, with a cement driveway entering from the east. The 28 by 28 foot plan features a display room and a notable village improvement reflecting rapid local growth.
