Jake Wickes former Thomson resident and longtime East Clinton man dies last Thursday at Mercy Hospital Clinton after a long illness. He worked as a painter and paperhanger in life and later served as section foreman on the Burlington. Survived by his wife Meda, daughter of Mrs Ed Groharing, and several children. Funeral services were held at Garden Plain church with interment in Dunshee Cemetery.
