Fair Board Plans Tracks and Acts for Carroll County Fair
The 1968 Carroll County Fair Board outlines a quar ter mile track to be built by Tautz ros of Mt. Carroll under United States Trotting Association guidelines. The facility will host pony and horse racing as well as midget car racing and tractor pulls. Entertainment includes Jer zee Dyke and Crash Dick's auto thrill show, a barn dance by the Young Americans, and Mel's clown band. A three afternoon race schedule during fair week is planned. The State Bar Association booklet Your Bill of Rights argues public opinion and democracy protect individual gun ownership more than the Second Amendment. It contends the amendment mainly prevents federal interference with state militias and notes state constitutions vary in recognizing a right to bear arms.
IRS forms available at Chadwick Post Office
Postal patrons may obtain Internal Revenue forms at the Chadwick Post Office this year. A supply of various forms has arrived for public usage and are available for the asking. For the past few years the local Post Office was not furnished forms of this nature and thus this announcement.
