Mrs. Rachel Fulrath 91 died Tuesday night at her Savanna area farm after a two week pneumonia illness. Funeral at Center Hill U B church with Rev. G S Foltz and Rev. Born February 18 1854 in Lancaster county Pennsylvania she moved to Center Hill area in 1862, married George Fulrath in 1871, survived by three daughters six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Roderick Chisholm Dies at 82 in Lanark Home
Roderick Chisholm of Lanark, 82, died at midnight December 28 after a short illness at his Lanark home. The funeral was held Monday afternoon December 1 with Rev. E. Y. Knapp officiating. He was born March 18, 1862 in Canan Bridge Scotland and came to the United States in 1883. He married Idelle M Heimbaugh Dee in 189% and previously owned the large farm east of Chadwick now owned by F. J. Stransky. He is survived by his widow, one son J Donald Chisholm of Springfield, and two grandchildren.

Carroll County board tabled an application by Art and Mary Brigham for a dance hall license near Savanna after a 7 to 7 roll call failed to overturn a prior distance rule. A 1945 survey shows the six northwest Illinois counties recording 43 highway deaths. Carroll County reported three auto fatalities, Whiteside ten, Jo Daviess four, Stephenson eight, Ogle six, and Lee twelve. One December death occurred in Lee County.
